My Story
Built from the ground up.
Quick Facts
I didn't fall into marketing. I built my way through it. It started at uSamp and Survey Sampling International, doing user acquisition for market research panels. From day one I was wired differently: instead of following the playbook, I went looking for angles no one had tried. I reached out to blogs, affiliates, and off-the-beaten-path traffic sources. It worked, and that habit of experimenting never left me.
That led me into managing $1M+ per month in paid media across the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. I became obsessed with CAC and data. I was promoted to team lead, overseeing buyers in the US and the Philippines, allocating budgets across 20 to 30 traffic partners while relentlessly optimizing for cost per acquisition.
It was during this period that I stumbled onto something that would define my career: influencer marketing, before anyone called it that. We started running YouTube partnerships on a pure performance basis. CAC dropped. User quality went up. I'd found something real.
After a stint at DQNA Media Group sharpening my skills across Facebook, native, and performance channels, I joined BENlabs, a Media AI company owned by Bill Gates. Over seven years I went from founding the Performance Influencer division to VP of Paid Media, building and leading a global team. In my second year as VP we hit $10M in revenue, a 3x increase. I launched the paid media division from zero and grew it into a team of nine managing performance campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube for major brands globally.
Now I run The OT Media, my boutique growth consultancy. Boutique by design, because I care about results more than headcount.
